Illegal Art is a record label pushing the limits of sample-based music since 1998. We are comprised of artists such as Girl Talk, Junk Culture, Touch People, Okapi, People Like Us, The Bran Flakes, Steinksi, and more.
Okapi's upcoming release, Opera Riparata, takes famous Opera works, breaks them down, then restructures and recomposes them, all in Okapi style. Each track is exactly 1:11, with 40 total tracks on the release.
Okapi and Illegal Art are going to be releasing the whole album a few tracks at a time over the upcoming months. Each batch will be posted on a different music blog around the web.
